Parenting Teens Who Are Plugged Into Technology Posted By: Paul Hagan
If we do not take the time to teach our kids...there is someone else who is stepping in and attacking our children every waking moment. They know just how to grab and hold their attention.Companies know how to trigger addictive endorphins and dopamine within our brain and bake that into every product they sell. This is used to influence young people through the internet, gaming consoles, iPods, Facebook, and just about everything else your kids are plugging into today.Everyday, parents lose the ability to teach and guide their kids properly because the addictive sex and violence in music, TV, internet, and video games takes over. Many are already addicted exhibiting that same behaviors as those in alcohol and narcotic treatment facilities.Consider this fact: by the time a child is six years old, they will have spent more time watching television than the amount of time they will spend talking to their fathers...in their entire lifetime. By the time some kids are 8 and 10 years old, they're watching TV and playing video games and computers for 20 hours or more every week! It's what they're seeing and hearing that's scary...
