The fourth studio album from British electro-pop import Hot Chip is set to arrive via Astrawerks on Feb. 9, 2010. The band revealed the release date for its forthcoming album, titled One Life Stand, on Nov. 10, and according to Billboard the effort will feature Hot Chip's signature dance grooves with a dose of soul, ranging from contemporary R AND B to gospel. Hot Chip fans who can't wait until 2010 to hear the new album can pre-order One Life Stand on the group's website, and those who do so will receive a free download of a new song called "Take It In." There is no word yet on whether "Take It In" will be the lead single off One Life Stand, although NME online reveals it is a contender along with the title track. Additionally, frontman Alexis Taylor told NME online that a third song, to be titled either "The Longest Night" or "I Feel Better," which he described as "the most anthemic-sounding one. A big, massive Euro club sounding track," may also be the first single.
