If you're interested in seeing a British-American rock band, you can catch Foreigner at the Casino Rama in Rama on Feb. 20. The group was formed in New York City in 1976 and is composed of rockers Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, American vocalist Lou Gramm, Dennis Elliot, Al Greenwood, and Ed Gagliardi as a sextet. Jones came up with the name from the fact that he, McDonald, and Elliott were English, while Gramm, Greenwood, and Gagliardi were Americans.The band released their self-titled debut in March 1977 and sold over four million copies in the United States. The album, which was in the Top 20 for a year, included "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," and "Long Long Way From Home." Foreigner's second album, Double Vision, was released in June 1978, and it sold five million records. "Hot Blooded," the title track "Double Vision" and "Blue Morning Blue Day" were the highlights. Their third album Head Games was also successful due to the thunderous "Dirty White Boy" and another title track hit, "Head Games.
